Product Introduction
Refractory castable is a mixture composed of refractory aggregates, powders, and binders. After adding water or other liquids, it is suitable for construction using casting or vibrating methods. It can also be pre-formed into prefabricated components with specified shapes and dimensions for use as linings in industrial furnaces.
To improve the physical, chemical, and construction properties of refractory castables, certain additives are often incorporated, such as plasticizers, dispersants, accelerators, retarders, expanding agents, and deflocculant-gelling agents. Additionally, for refractory castables used in areas subjected to high mechanical forces or intense thermal shock, adding an appropriate amount of stainless steel fibers significantly enhances the material's toughness.
In insulating refractory castables, the addition of inorganic fibers not only improves toughness but also enhances thermal insulation performance. Due to the similarity between the basic material composition (such as aggregates, powders, admixtures, binders, and additives), setting and hardening processes, and construction methods of refractory castables and those of concrete in civil engineering, refractory castables have also been referred to as refractory concrete.
