Rotary Kiln Product Description for Building Ceramic Granules

The ceramic granule kiln is mainly used for calcining semi-finished ceramic granules. It is divided into two main categories: single-cylinder rotary kilns and double-cylinder interlocking rotary kilns. Among them, the double-cylinder kiln is further divided into preheating kilns and firing kilns. The preheating kiln is used for drying and preheating, while the firing kiln is used for firing.

The rotary kiln, as a key equipment for the production of building ceramic granules, directly affects the quality and production cost of the finished ceramic granules due to its performance.

Working Principle

Semi-finished granules are fed into the kiln through the chute at the tail (high end) of the preheating kiln. Due to the inclination and slow rotation of the cylinder, the semi-finished granules roll along the circumference and move axially from the tail (high end) of the preheating kiln towards the head (low end) of the firing kiln. Fuel is injected into the kiln through the burner at the head (low end) of the firing kiln for combustion. Heat is transferred to the semi-finished granules through radiation, convection, conduction, and other methods. As the semi-finished granules move, they undergo drying and preheating, enter the firing kiln for calcination, and undergo various physical and chemical changes to form ceramic granules. Finally, they are discharged from the head end of the firing kiln and enter the cooling machine. The high-temperature flue gas is directed to the tail end dust removal system from the tail end of the preheating kiln.
