A rolling line refers to a production line used for the rolling and processing of metal materials, such as steel and aluminum. On the rolling line, metal materials are progressively shaped and sized through deformation in multiple rolling mills. A rolling line typically consists of the following main components:
Heating equipment: Used to heat the metal materials to a temperature suitable for rolling.
Rolling mill: A series of rollers applies pressure to the metal, causing it to extend while being compressed.
Cooling system: After rolling, the metal materials usually need to be rapidly cooled to achieve the desired mechanical properties.
Shearing equipment: Used to cut the rolled metal materials into the required length or shape.
Conveying equipment: Responsible for transporting the metal materials from one process to the next.
Based on the type of rolled products, rolling lines can be divided into plate rolling lines, section rolling lines, and rebar rolling lines, among others.

Rolling Line Process
Raw Material Preparation: Metal billets (such as steel billets or aluminum billets) are transported from the storage area to the start of the production line.
Heating Furnace: The metal billets are fed into a heating furnace to reach a temperature suitable for rolling (for example, steel is typically heated to around 1200°C).
Rough Rolling Stage: The billets pass through a roughing mill, where the material thickness is reduced, and its length is extended.
Intermediate Rolling Stage: The material goes through an intermediate rolling mill, where it is further rolled to approach the required dimensions.
Finish Rolling Stage: The material enters the finishing mill for the final rolling process, where the dimensions and surface quality are precisely controlled.
Cooling Bed: After rolling, the material passes through a cooling bed for rapid cooling to ensure the desired mechanical properties.
Shearing Equipment: The cooled material is cut to the required length or shape.
Straightening Equipment: The rolled product is further straightened through a straightening machine to correct its shape.
Inspection and Bundling: The finished products undergo quality inspection, and once qualified, they are bundled or coiled, ready for shipment.
