Project Overview

In 2022, our Tangshan client carried out comprehensive treatment on the flue gas from the 1# and 2# hot blast stoves in accordance with the requirements of the "Comprehensive Management of Air Pollution and Stable 'Ten Back' Work Plan for Tangshan City in 2022" (Tang Character [2022] No. 2). The project was subcontracted to Hebei Environmental Science and Technology Co., Ltd., while our company was responsible for design and supply.

The selective catalytic reduction (SCR) method is employed for the denitrification of flue gas from this hot blast stove, using mature technology. This method primarily utilizes ammonia (NH3) as a reducing agent to selectively reduce NOx to N2. It boasts several advantages such as the absence of by-products, no secondary pollution generation, simple device structure, high removal efficiency, reliable operation, and ease of maintenance. NH3 exhibits high selectivity, wherein within a certain temperature range and under the presence of oxygen and catalytic action, NH3 preferentially reacts with NOx to undergo reduction and removal, generating N2 and water.

The document requires that the concentration of NOx in the waste gas from the blast furnace hot stove be consistently controlled below 50 mg/m3. Following the implementation of this project, the range of NOx concentration in the waste gas from the 1#-2# blast furnace hot stoves is 9-16 mg/m3, stably controlled below 50 mg/m3, achieving excellent environmental and economic benefits.
