Water seal and slag off system
Between the column of walking beam and the bottom is installed a apron water seal which is immerged in the long water seal trough in the direction of the furnace length to prevent the cold air from entering.
In the process of walking beam moving up and forward,via water seal blade and scrap plate,few seal falling into slag off trough at the end of furnace.
Material of slag scraper:stainless steel.

Water-cooled parts such as the water beam, discharge furnace door frame, cantilever rollers inside the furnace at the loading and unloading ends, and buffers are cooled using a clean circulating water system.

The fundamental task of Level 2 (L2) process control in a heating furnace is to achieve optimal heating of steel billets within the furnace according to production process requirements. This is done through optimized settings and calculations based on mathematical models. L2 control manages parameters such as furnace temperatures of heating sections or fuel flow rates, directly controlling various heating quality indicators of the steel billets.

The actual production conditions in heating furnaces are constantly changing. When relying solely on Level 1 (L1) control, furnace temperature settings are determined by operators, influenced by their experience levels. This can lead to fluctuations in the quality of steel billet heating. Particularly when steel billet specifications vary significantly or new steel grades are rolled, relying on manual experience alone makes it difficult to ensure consistent heating quality.

As a critical component of continuous rolling production lines, heating furnace production must first meet the quantity and quality requirements of the rolling mill. Additionally, it aims to conserve energy and protect heating furnace equipment. With Level 2 control, various production indicators of the heating furnace can be monitored, such as billet exit temperatures, temperature differentials across billet sections, oxidation losses, temperature at water marks on billets, and fuel consumption.

The primary control objective of heating furnace production is the quality of steel billet heating. Directly measuring the temperature distribution of steel billets inside the furnace is challenging. Instead, it is estimated through establishing heat transfer models within the furnace and using measurable variables during the production process. This links furnace temperature settings directly to billet exit temperatures, aiming to minimize energy consumption and oxidation losses during steel billet heating production.

The core support of Level 2 computer supervisory control software for heating furnaces lies in its online control mathematical model. This includes mathematical abstraction and description of inherent laws within the heating furnace production process, mathematical algorithms, and computer application technologies. Research into online monitoring mathematical models of heating furnaces, along with the development of monitoring software and necessary computer hardware and software systems, ensures the completion of Level 2 control tasks. This is essential for modern high-speed continuous rolling production and high-precision control of product quality.

Key elements of Level 2 control in heating furnaces include billet position tracking, temperature calculation, dynamic furnace temperature setting, coordination with rolling line production pace, decision support during billet waiting periods, and regular production record completion and reporting.

Automatic Ignition System
