Introduction to Tangshan Wenfeng Hot Blast Stove Flue Gas Denitrification Project
In 2022, Tangshan Wenfeng carried out comprehensive treatment of the flue gas from 1# and 2# hot blast furnaces in accordance with the requirements of the "Tangshan City 2022 Comprehensive Treatment of Air Pollution and Stabilization of "Back Ten" Work Plan" (Tang Zi [2022] No. 2).
The flue gas denitrification project of the hot blast stove, along with the recovery of blast furnace gas for cooling and the implementation of environmental dust removal, is part of the Tangshan Wenfeng "Create Environmental Performance A-class" project.
The aforementioned "Create Environmental Performance A-class" project is undertaken by Hebei Environmental Technology Co., Ltd. as the general contractor, with Shanghai Xuanding Metallurgical Technology Group Co., Ltd. specifically responsible for the implementation of the hot blast stove denitrification project, including design, engineering technology, and equipment supply.
The denitrification of the hot blast stove flue gas employs the mature selective catalytic reduction (SCR) method. This method primarily utilizes ammonia (NH3) as a reducing agent to selectively reduce NOx to N2. It offers advantages such as no by-products, no secondary pollution, simple device structure, high removal efficiency, reliable operation, and easy maintenance.
NH3 has high selectivity. In a certain temperature range, under the action of catalyst and the presence of oxygen, NH3 preferentially reacts with NOX to produce N2 and water.
The document requires that the NOx concentration in the blast furnace hot blast furnace exhaust gas should be steadily controlled below 50mg/m3. After the project is put into use, according to the Inspection and Testing Report (Tang Yongzheng Inspection Word (2022) No. 10036) issued by Tangshan Yongzheng Environmental Monitoring Co., Ltd. commissioned on 26 October 2022, the NOx concentration range value of the hot blast furnace exhaust gas of 1#-2# blast furnace is 9-16mg/m3, which is stably controlled below 50mg/m3, achieving good environmental and economic benefits.
