Product Description
Silicon Line Stone Brick is a refractory brick made from silicon line stone minerals. After high-temperature calcination, silicon line stone transforms into mullite and free silica. It is generally produced using high-temperature firing and mud casting methods. Its physical and chemical properties are superior to high-alumina bricks, with a refractory temperature of 1770-1830ºC and a softening starting point under load of 1500-1650ºC. It is mainly used for the shaping of homogenizing furnaces, heating furnaces, glass tank kilns' flow channels, blast furnace linings, furnace throats, and ceramic industrial kiln furniture.
Silicon Line Stone is a high-quality refractory raw material used to produce high-alumina bricks with low creep, high load softening, and high thermal shock resistance, as well as phosphate-bonded high-alumina bricks for cement rotary kilns, among other applications. It is also used in the glass, ceramics, technical ceramics, special coatings, and other industries. Compared to advanced countries, China started developing and applying silicon line stone relatively late. In the 1960s, Fujian Putian directly processed the abundant muscovite silicon line stone shale into various shapes and sizes of refractory materials, selling them domestically and abroad. In the late 1970s, due to the construction of Baosteel in Shanghai, the foreign side required the use of the "three stones," including silicon line stone, which promoted the development and application of silicon line stone minerals in China. At that time, Baosteel mainly used silicon line stone in critical parts of homogenizing furnaces and heating furnaces, such as high-alumina bricks and corundum slide plates for 300-ton steel ladles. It is mainly used in critical parts of kilns such as glass furnace kilns, alkali-free fiber kilns, blast furnace hot blast stoves, and refractory material tunnel kilns. Red corundum is used in blast furnace cooling walls, ceramics, chemical, and other industries.
