Product Introduction
Lightweight refractory materials with mullite as the main crystal phase are called mullite lightweight insulation bricks. Our company, Gongyi Qianxiang Refractory Materials Co., Ltd., is primarily a manufacturer of lightweight insulation materials. The mullite lightweight insulation bricks produced by our company are available in various grades, including jm-23, jm-26, jm-28, jm-30, etc. These bricks are white in color and have spherical small pores on the surface. The better the insulation performance, the lower the bulk density of the lightweight insulation brick, typically ranging from 0.6g/cm3 to 1.0g/cm3, with the highest bulk density reaching 1.3, 1.5, 2.0g/cm3. The alumina content generally falls between 30% and 45% and can go up to 90%. These bricks can be used at temperatures ranging from 1300 degrees to 1500 degrees Celsius and can be customized in terms of dimensions to meet customer requirements. Additionally, the alumina content can be increased to meet higher temperature demands, with some applications exceeding 1700 degrees Celsius.
The mineral composition of these bricks, apart from mullite, may include a small amount of glass phase and cristobalite for lower alumina content and a small amount of corundum for higher alumina content. The production process involves extrusion molding, drying, firing, and grinding, resulting in high precision and minimal errors. Custom-shaped bricks can also be manufactured. Mullite lightweight insulation bricks are typically used in furnace insulation layers and can also be used directly as linings for high-temperature kilns. They are currently widely used in shuttle kilns, roller kilns, as well as the linings of glass and petrochemical kilns.
Mullite insulation bricks have the following six characteristics due to their chemical structure:
1. Low thermal conductivity, providing excellent insulation and thermal insulation effects.
2. Low heat storage, as a result of low thermal conductivity, mullite lightweight insulation bricks accumulate very little heat energy, leading to significant energy savings during intermittent operation.
3. Low impurity content, with very low levels of iron, alkali metals, and other oxide content, contributing to high refractoriness. The higher alumina content allows it to maintain good performance even in reducing atmospheres.
4. High hot modulus of rupture.
5. Precise dimensional accuracy, speeding up the construction process, reducing the use of refractory mortar, ensuring the strength and stability of the structure, thereby extending the lining's lifespan.
6. Can be processed into special shapes to reduce the number of bricks and joints used in construction.
